The question is: I need to get files and programs for my new computer. Is that possible without repairing the old one? If I don't have to spend money on a computer I basically have to trash anyway, that would make me really, really happy.
Also, my cell phone broke the same day as the laptop. It still calls and stuff but the screen is all purple. Cell phone is also three years old; i get to switch for a new one in August at least. And I don't use it very much so that's not that crucial.
Also ALSO, I might have strep throat. XD But I guess I can't cuz I had it already, but I have SOMETHING that attacks my throat with a pain-giving wand of death. So yes. Fun times for me, yay.
Good News: I have gotten very, very good at making earrings. I use Swarovski crystal and sterling silver when I can, although I have to say nearly everything in Michael's and Joann's has a 'made in China' label. So it's probably all full of lead anyway. Lol.
Regardless, I haven't gotten lead poisoning yet and I've been wearing my own creations for a little over a year now--never had my skin change funky colors or get infected, although I have zero metal allergies so I guess I can't speak for everyone. I'm thinking about setting up comissions.

Geek squad will be able to recover the files... a few places will be able to, though, and maybe cheaper. Don't spend $40 on the phone for analysis. When you go down there tell them you just want data recovery, not repair, and see if they can do it without the analysis fee. If I hear of any other options, I'll let you know

After removing the harddisk (1)buy a harddisk ata/sata converter or better yet (2) buy a 2.5 hard disk case (it's dirt cheap) just a few bucks!
(1) find a pc(desktop) to connect it to.. as a neighbor friend
after connecting run scandisk on harddrive
(2) just insert hardisk into casing, connect usb cable to pc and run scandisk
** afterscandisk download freeware like "filescavenger" or the like from the internet its free and easy to use to recover all your beloved files. I suggest option 2 if your not the technical type.
both options will require you to use another pc so i hope u have a lot of nice friends... but at least you save a lot of money...
Hope this helps... by the way i used to be tech support for microsoft and they should be the one responsible for this problem not Dell..

As for the earrings--by french clip do you mean the leverback style, or the French earwires as shown in the uploaded deviation? I know I can get leverback style since two of my earrings use that wire, but I've never tried to put in earrings with one hand. ._. I'll have to test to see if I can do that.
*tests* ...Kay, you want leverback. The French wire is super easy to put in one-handed but it's impossible to put on the backing. Your sister COULD wear that style without a back, as I used to do, but that's also how I lost one of my favorite earrings so I don't recommend it.
And after researching online, these products I use probably do have lead in them but are harmless as long as you're not eating them or sticking them up your nose and inhaling. XD Just keep out of the reach of small children, I guess.
and yes, leverback is what we need!!
