BIRTHDAY LOWDOWN: 1. Made two new friends for my birthday! 2. Attended a poetry reading/tea party tonight (no, there were no bongos; we made up for it with the sheer awesomeness of our readings). 3. Purchased a jump rope and a silly card game and books for Bday presents (I will probably have to return the books because attempting to cheat the textbook system never works out). 4. Got pretty flowers from my sister, orange rolls from my roommate, ice cream from other roomate, pint of Cold Stone ice cream and book and card from one of my new friends, and many wonderful cards full of wonderful wishes and gifts from all my family members! Of course, though, I forgot to check my mail for two days straight...D'oh. XP The plus side is that nobody's card was late this way!

Thank you all, very much! 5. Learned how to make paper snowflakes. 6. In and Out Provo is now open. Woot. 7. Got out of having to write a paper just in time for my birthday. 8. This has quite possibly been the weirdest birthday ever, because it's basically lasted for three days in very small increments, and looks like it's stretching onto a fourth since my kind housemate decided that it was necessary to purchase some kind of nonalcoholic bubbly for dinner tomorrow. It's just been a very busy school week for everybody, so people are basically celebrating when they can. Kind of odd, but today was very fun. 9. Also, I'm OLD. 10. The first half of The Italian Job is hilarious (DVD stopped working halfway through, bah). 11. "This lemonade is weak---just like your soul." <---A quote shared at our Poetry Party tonight. I have no idea where it's from, or even what it's supposed to mean, but it's stuck in my head and if you've read this now it's in your brain cells too. >:}
ST. CATHERINE'S FEAST DAY: So one of my housemates is very interested in feminism and religion. Her two favorite women are the Hindu goddess Duraga and the Catholic St. Catherine. So we partied for Durga's celebration week, and on St. Catherine's day she made us party too. Since St. Catherine is the saint of young, unmarried women and hatmakers, young unwed women are supposed to wear a hat and do something fun on her day. XD We ended up just going shopping and I got a hat since I didn't own one. It looks very cute on me, thank you very much. And no, I have no idea if my friend made up this 'St. Catherine party' thing or not. She probably did. It was fun anyway, and a good reminder to all of us to never marry anyone uglier or stupider or....pagan-er...than we are.

Although in all honesty if a pagan prince wanted to marry me I'd probably say yes if he was nice. If he wasn't, I don't think I'd let him put me on a spiked wheel. I think I'd hire a hit man.
This is why I'm not a Catholic saint, people. u.u
THANKSGIVING: Went to my cousin's house and spent the day playing with their 3-year-old son, who is very smart and VERY hyper.

He's an energetic little tornado, but he talks very fluently and had us read to him from plumbing manuals. So basically he's a hoot and a half. Oh, and the food was good. VERY good.
